For me the interior in my Jeep is nice enough. I dont care about the dashboard as long as the car does what it should. The interior isn't ****ty unless you're comparing it to 100k+ cars(which is what everyone is using as a reference), it's nice enough for me. People just need to remember the fact that it's not a Bentley, it's a Nissan. Hell it isn't even an Infinity. It's not being marketed as a luxury car so it shouldn't be scrutinized as one.

This is something that I am very suprised at. I cant believe everyone is complaining about nissan's interior, but not mentioning the vette's interior at all.
True, but it's not in the same league as the cars it's competing with. No 70k luxury sports car will come close to touching a GTR. You would have to spend over twice as much money to get a "luxury" car that will stay with one. IMO the GTR is kind of in its own class, I'm not trying to be a fanboy or anything but it is a pretty unique vehicle considering its price from Nissan and it's performance numbers.
I don't know what your problem is. Personally I love the interior I have nothing but good things to say about it but if people are expecting suede wrapped steering wheels and leather wraped everything it simply isn't gonna happen. I think for a 70k car it's awesome. The corvette's interior even in the ZR1 still hasn't changed from the base model with the exception of suede inserts on the seats. I simply don't like American cars. As far as vettes go I'd rather have a used Z06 than this overpriced ZR1. The only reason I said anything about the interior is because people for some reason expect so much from it when Nissan's mission was to blow the doors off the competition which it successfully has IMO. As for anyone that says the ZR1 versus the regular GTR isn't a fair fight I think it is.

i could careless bout interior........i give the the car its due,for being fast...but i still like the Z06 and ZR1 more,mostly just for cosmetic.and im a vette man at heart
It does seem like people are just trying to pick something out that's wrong with GTR's. Personally I don't see anything wrong with a GTR or a zr1, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. But it is funny that noone is bitching about the zr1 because it actually is overpriced(so I guess there is one thing wrong with it) I dont see any 100k+ ideas put into that car. Yes, the ls9 is a badass motor but that can be built at home better and cheaper. I think people are motivated to talk **** about GTR's because of Nissan fanboys who ruin everything. There just aren't enough zr1 fanboys here to solicit any negative responses about it.

While I don't necessarily agree with a lot of the stuff you've posted, I do agree 100% on this.
Almost every thread on this forum that has pertained to the new GTR (most notably comparison threads) has been full of bitching about it. I understand how fanboys can turn someone off from a car. Personally, I frequently get annoyed by the "My car is better that everyone elses" mentality that a lot of Vette and Porsche owners carry (note: "a lot" not all). It often just puts the cars in a negative light for me. However, I can get past this and appreciate that both of the previously mentioned cars are indeed great purpose built automobiles.
I'm convinced that the people that talk negatively about the GTR are affected the same way by nissan fanboys and the constant praise that the car receives; They just can't get past their annoyance and see that even though it has weaknesses (like every other car ever made), it's still an amazing machine.

Type R is a reference to my stereo system and mostly a quick decision, could've made a better name but oh well it doesn't represent me as a person. Saying I dont have a clue is just a bit ignorant seeing as you dont know me at all, so go keep walking around with the notion that you aren't a total prick. I guess I'll have time to sit around and scrutinize every fact about cars later in life(considering you're probably twice my age) but for now I think I'll stay involved in these discussions no matter what you say to me.

Lol, but seriously, the 2009 911 Carrera S with PDK is 1 sec slower than a 2008 911 Turbo, you really think that the redone models for 2009 with direct injection, PCCB, and the PDK will drop time allot. Even the 2010 GT3 rs will have this setup so a Turbo model should put up an impressive lap.
