Default A Bit Of Vintage Tuning...

Here are a couple pics of my project cars and daily drivers.

The first three are of my 1974 Volvo 164. The engine is new and has about 45 minutes of run time on it. The carbs are off a Penta AQ170 boat engine and the intake and linkage needed some heavy modification to make it work. Got the motor running yesterday, it sounds fierce. The fourth pic is of my 1976 BMW 2002, nice daily driver. Last pic is of my fathers 1968 Volvo 145 Wagon. Has a 2L heavily modified engine (cam, balanced, headwork, headers) and will blow the doors off a civic, accord, whatever...

Just thought I would share a piece of my world.

    Nice old school Euro's. I love older BMW's, I've got a 1969 1602 that needs work.

    Bozzio for president.

My dad had a volvo turbo wagon company car in the mid 80's. One of his friends was a mechanic at a volvo place and he did something to the waste gate (according to my dad who knows little about cars) that added like 100hp... I don't know how true this is, since it was 25 years ago and my dad doesn't know the difference between a camshaft and a turbocharger. Supposedly it would outrun a 930 turbo porsche to 120mph... Like I said, I'm not sure how much I believe this.

ha ha. Probably more like 30hp and 50tq. They do alright with boost upgrades.

    My car is factory....

Every single performance part and or modification it has was made in a factory somewhere.

That Volvo wagon is hot as hell. Nice carb setup on yours as well. The HSR sticker on the big van truck thing goes hand in hand with the pics
