Its good stuff. I too researched the topic and know a few people who cryoed parts.

You don't just have to cryo engine and tranny parts, but any part that faces high stress can be cryoed. One of the things they do often in road racing is cryo the brake rotors. Reduces warping and the rotors last longer throughout the race.

You can cryo spark plugs, cyl heads, valve springs etc. All help very much. Myself,I was thinking of having my rods, pistons and head cryoed to toughen them up.

From the people I've spoken with, supposedly if you build a balanced block, you'll want to have it balanced, do any cutting or shot peening etc before the cryo treatment. I found a place that charges $8 a part. Dunno if thats a good deal, but I too would like to see more research done.
