map sensor cel

My friend just installed his turbo kit on his 94 civic and is getting a map sensor CEL. He says it comes on when he is in boost what could cause this.?

boost it happens to every car that has boost even after it is tunned i do beleive my car was like that and my friends but i think if u chage to a 4 bar or 3 bar or something like that then it wont go off i THINKS BUT NOT 100% SURE

if it's happening after it's tuned there is something wrong. it shouldn't happen after it's tuned unless you're tuning w/o a chipped ecu.

the map sensor can read up to like 11 psi stock but when the ecu sees boost it usualy will kick its self into safe mode or throw a CEL tell your friend to get his car tuned and stop driving the car till then hes going to blow it up when he gets it tuned they will fix that problem

Correct

Stock ECU CANNOT READ BOOST AT ALL. If it CHIPPED it can see as much as 11psi no the stock map sensor.

Tell your friend to buy an ECU from me and he will be able to boost till the cows come home.

If he continues to drive on it , it WILL BLOW UP
