can gsr rods be used in a ls/vtec setup..ls crank with gsr pistons and rods...yes i already know the gsr rods are much longer than ls..but what is the compression ratio if possible..but would it hit the head...will the rods be too long..anyone done this setup lmk..im wondering too much...

the rods will be a little bit shorter, resulting in less displacement, and isn't the point of ls/vtec... i'm sure it has been done before...

gsr rods wouldnt work on with ls crank. if u put a gsr crank in it would work but then youll just end up with a really crappy gsr. if im wrong somebody correct me.

    ^^^

but the good part is you can do the opposite, using a ls crank, rods, etc. in a gsr block which would put it at 89mm stroke I believe. Golden eagle makes a kit for that to plug the oil squirters.

the gsr rods are considerably NARROWER then LS rods and journals so that would be really BAAAADDDD. Its impossible to even fit an LS rod onto a gsr crank.

nope you'd have to use ls rods with gsr pistons on the ls crank .. but that's just a waste of time, money, and effort.

You can, however, use the ls crank, rods, and pistons in a gsr block. Just either you'd have to but the golden eagle kit, or you can just heat up the oil squirters and tap it gently with a hammer.

you can find a thread about it here:
