what happens to a SRT-4 at 8000rpm

What stock civic clutch do you know of that can hold 240+ ft/lbs of tq????

+1 im not bashing yours or any other honda allmota. but. 60 ft lbs of tourque wont do that. and in the pictures. thats an agp .50 trim turbo. minimum. the car is probabley making a minimum of 450 ft lbs of tourque and somewhere equal in hp. im willing to bet it was the power of the car during a wot shift. not the rpm range. that would cause the clutch and flywheel to defragment like that. not 8k rpm.

I agree that it was more likely a WOT shift at 8k, not just going up to 8k. Its just the point that the car wasn't designed to go that high, and neither was the aftermarket clutch he had I guess. I've made a WOT shift at around 7k rpm in a car that had similar hp and torque, and probably weighed twice as much, without any damage. Its just seems odd to me that even at that power the clutch would come apart like it did. It doesn't happen much unless your flywheel and clutch are old and worn thinner than the recommended specs.
