build the motor
big turbos with better fuel injectors and larger intercoolers
You do not need to build the motor for 350hp... Just a good experienced tuner.
Get:
~60mm turbo (t3 60-1, sc61, etc..)
WG, BOV, Intercooler, etc...
550cc injectors
Walbro 255lph
Type R Cams
Tune
300-350 easy

im thinkin about the 1st one....
If you are trying to boost it good luck, because they suck being boosted. Build it all motor and call it a day, Shoot for maybe 265. You will be happy with it then, and you will still be able to drive it.Originally Posted by 00'hondaSI

b18b1s do very well with boost c1's and c5's have to high of comp. if you got the money change it to a c5 and build it you cant go wrong i have never heard good things of a b16 boosted
if you were to get a gsr and not put alot of boost on it, u could drive it everyday and then have a low 13 high 12 gsr to take to tha track

how u would that setup look on a b18 block with b16 head?.
it would be a kick ass setup with tons more tq if build and tuned correctly.
sell me the B16 swap and buy a GSR
i have a b16 head and gsr bottom im boosting it sick of it being all motor
Spending money i don't have, to buy parts i really don't need, to impress people i don't know
Do some research on honda-tech.com. Its just not worth it to build a b16. Just invest in a GSR block keep your b16 head. Get forged cp pistons 9.8 or 9.5 c/r(your choice), eagle rods, arp head studs, acl bearings, mildly build the head, skunk2 intake manifold and skunk2 t/b 68mm or 70mm(your choice). Look at the treadstone kits they are pretty cheap. www.treadstoneperformance.com
Garrett GT2860rs turbo would be good for your set-up.
You have a lot to learn.

Boost under slow construction...
Yeah, I don't know where all you NOOBS are getting your info but there's been people making 300+ on stock b16's for a long time now... RELIABLY:

my point exactly jack, people on this site keep feeding people all this false information. a b16 motor has plenty capabilty with the right turbo setup and tune...
I know some ppl that ran 11-12s all day on built b16s some even like it better

hey where is mike at batlground when u need him the most he will set all of u striaght
alittle more info to help you out...

on a b16 with stock internals anything over 300 hp is asking for something to break... and it will eventually... ppl can vouch all day long... regardless of tuning, the ring lands on stock cast pistons are just not made to hold that kind of pressure... i have personally seen ppl with bone stock b16's dyno over 300whp and drive them daily... but if it is your only car i wouldn't advise it...
I wouldnt go more than 300 on the stock bottom end. Did you decide on a turbo or a turbo kit yet??? If you havent hit me up at the shop and I can help you decide what to do.
