    Default Auto H22a VS manual H22a: cam diff.?

    Is their any difference in the Jspec H22a automatic and manual camshafts ?
    i have been told over and over yes,but on other forums find nothing and others tell me there is no difference.

    thanks for any help.

    dunno, but i have manual jspec h22a camshafts for sale.. also skunk2 cam gears

    I'm pretty sure there is not a difference. The difference is in the ECU. The auto's are tuned less aggressively than the manual's. Its like the jdm F20B. The manual model has 200hp, the auto has 180. In those I know for sure that it's all in the ecu.

    There is no difference in the cams.

    92-95 all had the same cams
    96 im not sure if they shared with 92-95 or 97-98
    97-98 had the same cams
    99-01 had the same cams

    AUTO OR MANUAL.

    someone correct me if i am wrong

    no difference! i got both sets and there is NO difference.. slap a five spd tranny on a h22 that was once auto.... and it will ride the same..!!!! believe me

    99-01 5th Gen Type SH H22a4 cams have a little more aggressive lobes then Base model H22a4, H22a1, and JDM H22a (non Type S)

    for the question if the Automatic transmission H22a cams are different from the Manual transmission H22a cams goes, As far as I know they are the same.

    i like getting auto h22s. thats all i really get because some people not doing the research let them go cheaper...so it benefits me hehe

    i wouldn't ever have an auto 5th gen H22 cause the tranny sux!
