Im the chiours George of auto-mechanics and tunning

Hello all I'm a young adult who has been searching for his future career. Over the past 4 years I have inherited my first car the MR. 2 and two more after that. But after the car inheritance I worked at a mechanic shop un till the man killed himself, worked at a bakery, and worked at advance auto parts and went to school for computer animation at the same time and now I stand in a position of either going to the air force to become a mechanic or go to school for auto mechanics and engineer. The funny thing is that I didn't have a passion for cars un till I got the mr2 .... Whats the possibilities of that happening
SO my future goal is to become a Master Import Mechanic and Tuner and own a shop that consist of rebuilding old and new imports cars and fabrications and off course tuning. I have a few questions to ask and I am willing to take any advice or internships if possible..... ) This info will really help me out and put me in the right direction.

First question is why did you guys become Mechanics or Tuners?
What is the highest certifications a mechanic can gain?
If you had a chance to study mechanics in another country which country and why?
Are there any specific schools here in the states or in any other countries that I should look into?
Are you guys able to live off the amount of money you make a year?
And if there was anything you could change about what you learned be for where you are now what would it have been such as engine management fuel management an so on?
An if you have any other suggestions or questions for me to reach my goal let' em ripp.
And if any shops out there in th Ga area willing to make me a pupil please let me know im not looking for money just exsperience.
