Default BMW People: I need help with this E36

    From JonSIBAL
"""If I have another E36, I would love to build an ACS CLS2 replica, with the same color and interior. I love this car but ACS only made 2 and both are in Japan currently. The body kit are impossible to get as they didn’t sell it individually and even if they did, it would be big money. I have a full video of the 1st ACS CLS 1 in my old Best Motoring Videos but this CLS2 is the elusive one. Someday, that would be a cool project."""

Who is ACS?, where are they from? Still exist? Web site? I really like this thing but wanted some good info bought these guys.

AC Schnitzer silly. Just look at the wheels

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say anyone that doesn't recognize those wheels shouldn't be modding BMW's!

Did you have those hidden away on your computer or were they from a site?

Do you know about engine work or another site that might list it?

Lets just say i'm a fan of bimmers

The engine work on it? It says it's a 2990cc engine which means it's most like the S50 from a '95 M3. Bottom end build with forged internals and aggresive cams and valvetrain to match, fuel injectors, etc. with a standalone and you should be able to put out those numbers. For the price you could get an S54 though.

Can get turnkey engines from Sunbelt locally for serious $$$ (Recently bought by Kinetic Motorsports)

    Way more than "rare"...

I believe it is an s50b30... Not an S50US so not from a 95 M3.

So it's an S50b30 not an S50b30US...a different VANOS (continuously-variable), slightly different bore & stroke making 0.3:1 higher compression, and ITB's giving it 46 more horsepower.

...then AC Schnitzer gets a hold of it and magically adds 60 more horsepower! :boobies:

That's the S50B32, the 3.2 liter euro M3 engine. The one in the AC Schnitzer CLS II may be a de-stroked version of the 3.2 liter making it a 3.0 liter but most likely it's a built version of the S50b30...all i know is it's 3.0 liters and makes 350hp.

The E36 M3 had both 3.0 and 3.2 liter engines with several versions of each.

To my knowledge the Euro M3 motors are not even in the same engine family as the US stuff. Sure the S50 is a bored and stroked M50 but I don't think you can compare it like that. The Euro M3 engines have more in common with the S54 than the S50/S52 of the US. I could be wrong.

Either way there is a tuned S50b30 and lots of CF in that ACS car. it has 3 racing seats also.

2 in the front and 1 in the middle of the rear. It is a 3 seater IIRC.
