cause the GSR head has a Square Combustion chamber with quench pads compared to the B16 head which has a round combustion chamber.

Discplecement comes from the Block and Bore/Stroke, not the head. the fact that a B16 head is on a "smaller" motor just means that (in this case) the B16 has a smaller stroke vs the 87mm GSR crank.
