Parts are becoming harder to find every day for lt1/4 engines. LS1 parts are actually as cheap or cheaper. Not to mention there are tons of bolt-on kits out there, the ls1 is lighter, AND a better engine then the lt1. Really seems that the ls motor would be a better choice.

I ditched that pos 305 and got with the big dogs 355 with flat top forged pistons cranks been turned 10 and bored 30 over and a little more stuff that i cant mention just incase some of my enemies are watching. Plus i dont need no one stealing my set up. (had it happen before)
When you do the swap you should also get ready to swap out that trans like me im going with a t56 but for the moment i am running a 700r4 with a 3500 rpm stall.
How much hp are you looking to make? Plus arent you on ls1tech?
