318i m10
I might be picking up a 1985 318i with the m10 and a 5speed. Complete running order two door with all new stock suspension. It's white and and I believe the interior is tan, but I'm not sure if I want something else. The engine is rated around 100hp/103tq from what I've read but I've never seen anyone tuning a m10, always the m20. I had the m20 in my first e30, but my main question is if I get it for a good deal should I go for it? I just want something to drive than the Blazer all the time, short gears and working in ATL ftl. Lemme hear your opinions guys, thanks.

I'd say go for it. E30's are awesome cars as you probably know by now. If you don't want it after the sale you can always flip it for some money.
Of course i say this only if youre getting a good deal on it.
I say screw it and M50 that *****.

Yea, that's a good point, but one thing is I don't really want to swap it because the down time would be terrible unless I somehow got the money to pay for a shop to do it. I'm trying to find more information on the engine itself to see if boost would take well or how costly it would be.

Even if you keep it stock. M10's run forevaaar!

I've found the m10 takes ok to boost and that with the 2002 bottom end and s14 crank with some flat top pistons you have a good motor to run up to 350whp with boost. But that was in a few forums I've found. One guy was running 26psi on stock internals except for a 292 crank and was putting down somewhere around 367/359 or so.
