So all I'm saying is indeed a civic is a civic but likewise, an "Acura" TSX/TL is merely a Honda Accord so... isn't the "Acura" ITR "still a civic"?
An Integra is not quited and civic, but then again look at the toyta supra, the sc300 and the celica, (also g35/350z, r32,33,34). The supra, was a more aggressive version of the celica back in the days, and then once it was independent lexus decided to use the same platform/chasiss of the supra to make it inot a lexus sc300, same with the skylines, there probably many more example of this, but I can't think of any more right now lol. What im trying to get at is that why mess with something if it good? Just make it better?

When they made the ITR it was with the same chassis design as the eg but they, redesign the supension alittle bite as well stiffen it up , and introduce a more powerful engine (b18c5) they did not just put a new skin on it an sell it as a acura integra. the later model ITR(dc5) i think was design on a new platform, then that of the civic(ep3), but i'm not sure so don't quote me on that. Also I belive the tsx was design on a double wishbone suspension, and was better handling then that of the rsx(therefore we see it more on the racing scene) but the honda use the same chassis to make the new civic? si/regular civic, someone correct me on this if im wrong.
