    Default Prelude Intercooler Routing?

Just wanted to post this pic and see if this is how anyone else ran their intercooler piping on a BB6.

Well....ok I'll be honest.....I'm just excited about the turbo project and wanted to share my excitement

Why does anyone do things to their cars? Because they choose to, because they like it, and they enjoy upgrading/customizing their cars. People can flame me all they want. As long as I enjoy my car, no one else's opinion of it's appearance should matter.

Frog - That is indeed a gorgeous Prelude, and definitely one of the nicer ones I've seen. Thanks for your help with the intercooler piping.

I havent set a pressure in concrete yet, I'm going to finish the build, take it to get tuned/dyno'd and see where we end up.

I bought the block brand new from Honda so I could build it out. So I'm really not looking to part ways with it.

They are prone to pop fairly easy compared to the B16/18

Well like I said, I'm going to boost this first motor and see how things go. If it pops, I'll have my new block finished and ready to swap out. No worries

speaking from experience. build ONE motor, boost it. keep the other as a back up. Thats what I am doing.

Yeah, the one I've got in the car now is fairly new. It's got roughly 30k miles, runs strong and is moderately built. We'll see though. No big loss if it blows.

turbo h22 bad news on stock block. will maybe last 20,000 miles. research into FRM sleeves. ring lands are prone to breakage too. just fyi...not hating though. good luck on the build.

Thanks for the info. I'm not boosting the stock block more than 7-8 psi so I think I should be fine while my new block is getting built. Getting my slim fans in today, still waiting on some douche bag to send me my injector clips then I'll be ready to fire it up for the first time. I'll keep the thread updated with the progress.

IMHO... The GT35r is too big of a turbo to run on the stock block. When boost kicks in it will kick in really hard which is not good on the stock block. I'd suggest the gt30r. it gives a more steady predictable power curve without the instant rise in power and can produce almost if not the same amount of power as the gt35r.

I'm not a fan of your cosmetic mods but if you can pull it off more power to too you

That's exactly what I mean. I don't like what you've done, but if you like it and you can pull it off then more power too you...
