    Default AMG's new C63.... M3 killer?

    With the release of the new M3 coming up soon, AMG has announced that they will be offering a new model. The new model is the C63 AMG. The C63 is built on the new C300/C350 platform, although the C63 shares few similarities with the C300 from the firewall forward. The C63 has a 6.2L V8 (same as the CLK63, but slightly detuned) with 450 hp. The 30 extra HP is not what makes this a M3 killer, its the 148 lb/ft torque advantage that the C63 has over the M3. The only downfall of the C63 is that it is not avaliable with a manual trans. The model comes standard with a 7 speed Tronic automatic transmission. Both vehicles have an estimated MSRP of $63k. The C63 weighs in at 3800lbs, where as the M3 (coupe) weighs in at 3650lbs. I do not have the weight specs of the Sedan M3 that is supposed to be coming out.

    All in all its a pretty good looking car in my opinion. What do you guys think?

    Top gear tested this...and it's a brute. Especially when you turn the traction control off. Though they concluded the M3 is the best, still Id get this too.

    BMW is probably the best car in the world that keeps the drive connected. Mercedes is more of a luxuary car thats a bad mofo... Then MB makes a tone of torque which always feels better.

    having owned both make's ill never own anything bmw or mercedes related again...

    As much as I like the new M3, this Benz is badass.
    The only drawback that I can come up with is the lack of a manual tranny.

    i'd still take the M, i love the m3 lineup starting from the e30, i want to own each generation one day... haha
    but yea that mercedez v8 sounds killer, jeremy clarkson said it was like a madman trying to kill you everytime you drove it

    M had a -5 second difference on a track that takes similar cars a minute 1:40-1:50 to complete. Enough said...

    That Top Gear episode was sick!! The Benz would smoke it in a straight line but the M is the all around better car, and it looks badass

    what about in that Top Gear episode when they were trying to drift the M and the Audi and the guy had the sickest drift in the Audi!! Still like the M thou haha
