    Default Turbo GSR

I used to work at an engine shop so I know a lot about n/a motor stuff but when it comes to boost i'm kinda in the dark. I wanna turbo my gsr but i don't want to do it until I at least know how everything works. Anyone know where I can read up on turbo stuff?

What is your budget??? What are your HP goals??? These two questions need to be answered first.

    $700 and 300whp, keep dreaming.

For maybe about $1k or more you can obtain a decent kit, and make decent power with them. Is it going to be daily driven? ac/ps?

    ebay intercooler kit - $150-200
cast iron manifold (one of the cheapest and strongest) - $100-150
Injectors - can find dsm as cheap as $100 for 450cc but must be used with a resistor box.
Wastegate - not needed if the turbo you choose is internal wastegated, but if not then look to spend about $150+ for a decent one. Don't go with that ebay crap, you will have mad boost spikes.
BOV - ebay will do but look to spend around $150+ for a decent one
Misc. fittings and oil line - $100 or so
FMU/Missing link/Chipped ecu - one of these options must be chosen for your car to be able to run. Ranges from $20-150. If chipped ecu is the choice, expect to spend about 2-3 hours of tuning for about $140 an hour.
Downpipe - can pick one up for as cheap as $75
Turbo - for your build, a t3/t4 should do, which can run you about $250 used to $700 depending on size and trim. Ebay is your friend.

this is the cheapest that I could come up with, and most of the parts can be found on ebay. Then again you could just buy a complete kit and be done with it but I see that you're on a budget so hope that helps.
