    Default reccomended clutch?

i have a stage 3 un-sprung clutch in my accord, and i believe it's toast, driving down 85, get on the throttle, didn't down shift or anything just straight pull in 5th at like 70-75, pulls hard, then begins to drop speed but motor keeps revving, let off the gas and as soon as i get off about 1/2 throttle it begins to grab, got off at sugarloaf and drove around with the same results...once it builds boost it seems to be slipping, let it set overnight and today it doesn't pull near as hard but it's not completely dropping pout like it did yesterday. i want a clutch that will hold up for daily driving be as comfortable as possible for daily driving but also rips @$$ when i need it too. suggestions and price ranges please

If it's in gear, and it keeps reving it's definently the clutch.

ACT makes a bad ass clutch IMO. My CRX was running ungodly amounts of nitrous and it held up fine. It was my DD as well. Have a Competition clutch in my 240 now (or that's what I was told when I bought it), it's on its way out. Was good for a bit, but overall I'm a little disappointed. I have no doubt from the guy I bought it from that it was put in right, sooooo I'm not gonna buy another from them.

Competition Stage 4, 6-puck, sprung hub...It's what I run and I love it.

You want a sprung , do not get a rigid clutch... Now a full face will have a smoother feel... As a pucked clutch will chatter a LITTLE .... All up to you really .... The pucked will take a LOT more abuse....

My 6-puck definitely takes a little getting used to (a couple days) but I can now drive it easier the the stock clutch in my Civic. You can have the baddest most aggressive clutch in the world (maybe an over exaggeration), but bottom line, you will get used to it and learn how to use it effectively and it will all become natural to you.

Yea ... he will need a stage 4 comp clutch.... He wsill kill a stage 2 . Comp clutch's rock!! I have installed about 20 of them and ALL of them are still going...Just get a oem throwout bearing as the one they include will mostlikely go bad after a year or so....

I drove a boosted s2000 with a competion clutch stage 4 and how my damn, that thing takes some getting used too! Engaugement isnt harsh, pedal feels good and stiff just engauges very very quickly.Very fun to drive when you get used to the clutch. For a daily driver you will have some serious leg strength. My clutch makes me smile every day, im about to put one in my hoopty!

I run an ACT 6 puck unsprung with the HD pressure plate in my turbo accord. 100k miles on it now and its just now going out. pretty good considering the abuse its taken. I will get the same clutch to replace it.

as far as replacing it, pull out axles, remove shift linkage, remove slave cylinder, clear out airbox and stuff on top to get to tranny bolts, remove mounts, and out it goes.

Get act or exedy. I think more people like act. How much hp does your car have? If under 300, I think stage 1 or 2 will do you good.

i had one a few years ago and while they are pretty good clutchs i think alot of people would rather get a clutch thats just as good if not better and support the local performance industry and Competition Clutch is right here in atlanta
