    Default Skunk2 Intake Manifold Question...

I drive a 99' civic Si. The motor is B16a2. I have a Skunk2 intake manifold(ported to 68mm) and a skunk2 68mm throttle body and i was wondering if i should go ahead and put those on or Would i lose power? Should i wait till i get my skunk2 stage 1 cams and valvetrain? Let me know what you guys think?

i would suggest doing it all at the same time and then tuning it. if you don't have a chipped ecu that's tunable then i'd get that at the same time.

pm me if you have any questions.

you will most likely lose a few hp with that big of a tb and inlet, on a basically stock si.

don't waste your time or money with stage 1 cams you might make 155whp, not enough of a jump to warrent the expence. Go stage 2 and a good header and EMS

Im gonna toss the b16a2 block and get a gsr block. Send off the B18c1 block to golden eagle to resleeve it to 84mm. Then throw in some cp pistons and eagle rods. I got it all planned.

i'd wait to put the parts on till you get it boosted. if not then the motor won't get good airflow cause of the extra space.
on all motor the best intake manifold that i've seen work is a stock one.

your engine will need to be able to displace more air in order to benifit from the added inlet size. Possibly the cams will help.

    Talking Hmmm...

If I were you Brian I would get the Skunk 2 mani and the ITR mani, then get someone to hold them, then blow through them and see which one does actually end up giving a better happy ending
