Great cars...nice styling, good driving dynamics, and impressive numbers. Probably one of the most underrated cars out there. You know that this is basically a Ford Mondeo right?

I lvoed the way mine looked, and drove. but workin in the engine bay isnt fun at all. But it isnt the worst. It has a few things that need to be changed or upgraded over time liek the tranny to the LSD tranny, and it will last like it should! I sold mine last year to a young guy in loganville, he blew the motor in it street racing... last i heard it was sitting inthe garage.. i wold love to buy it back..
that was a good friend of mine, and that car was really nice. shame it the motor started knocking. he just got a new engine to drop into it i believe.

If you want a cheaper two door Coupe version. Just buy a MTX-75 Cougar and the parts from a junked SVT. They are all compatiable.

I looked for a SVT Contour for a little while. I never found anything that jumped out as a glaring issue. I talked to a couple of owners, too, and they didn't have anything negative to say about the car.

Check this out for more info.

Hey its new, so i dont if the typical domestics break down claim works here. Plus its really decent looking. I wouldnt mind talking my dad or mom into buying one of these if they were hard stuck on buying a family car.

Its not really a domestic the body style comes from the european market. They are called Mondeo's over there. IMO they are a good platform for tuning if you want to be different and creep up on some folks
