G20's are great cars. How many miles are on the car right now? Your first order of business may be to decide between: a.) having the engine cleaned and rebuilt or b.) buying a new sr20det out of a bluebird from Japan. I'd only recommend option B if you're looking over 200k miles and even then only if there's some serious oil leakage. Over time that could have meant the car ran low on oil and that can cause tons of problems.Originally Posted by JR VQ 30 de
Anyways, have the car looked over by at least TWO independent professional mechanics. If you live in the Acworth/Woodstock/East Cobb/Kennesaw area I recommend taking a drive up to see my friend JD at Atlantic Brake and Muffler. He'll give you a straight answer as to whether anything's wrong with it and how much it might be to fix it with no pressure.
You'll have to ask around to get some advice as to where to head if you're somewhere else. Just make sure you get it double-checked. That way you have an idea of what's likely to break first.
