SRT-4 vs. Mazdaspeed 3

its just both of these cars are go fast out of the box cars

why would someone get one of these and barely do anything to them or just throw some wheels on it and call theirselves a tuner?

im not saying that the people on here that have either of these cars arent tuners, it just the mainstream people will buy one of these 2 cars and instantly think they are street racers with enlarged egos b/c their wagon has 263 estimated hp

I pick ms3 coz it handle much better than srt4 which can only go fast on a straight way. BTW, the interior of the SRT4 is fxxx compare to ms3.

That attittude u have about fast out of the box cars will change when u get money in your hand. I see waht your tryin to say. But its a bad way of saying. I dont applaud people who buy a 14sec car, and make it a low 13 second car either. but if we all could afford something better we would. Some have the money to go buy a ms3, srt4 and put money into it, some dont and they stick with the **** boxes. i love to see underestimated original cars on the streets and modded nicely over a brand new car myself. But you can put all the money into a old car, but it will never be like a new car..

problem with this is how often do you see where people built up their car? Most people buy a slow car slap a fartcan and bodykit on it and thats it. Given the ones that actually do build up the cars tend to do a hell of a job, but like I said how often do you see that?

as for the ms3 I personally cant say anything bad about it because I havent driven one. I know they had that issue with motor mounts breaking and engines falling out when they first came out but I imagine thats long been fixed. I think its a good looking car.

As for the srt4 I've had one as my daily driver for nearly 3yrs now. I've loved everyday I've driven it and not had 1 problem out of it. I've read alot of peoples reasons in this thread for not liking it but besides their personally disliking of it I've not read one valid reason.

Lack of rear power windows?!- please. Do you drive in the rear seat? Dodge did not have a power window motor readily available to fit the rear doors of the srt4 and instead of driving up cost they just put crank. fine by me

hp/tq- yep ms3 has better crank #s but look at wheel #s and compare. They are remarkably close with the srt being ahead by some peoples #s and the ms3 ahead by others.

and to the morons who put its just a straight line car please do some research. these cars have been very successful racing round the twisties (speed world challenge, 1 lap, etc) unfortunately there was only 1 in speed world challenge this year due to I believe 3 were stolen with their trailers and all
