    Stock for stock a 5 speed manual 3.5 Altima is faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile than a 6 speed manual SE R Altima. Motor Trend and Car and Driver both made a point of stating this fact when they tested the SE R when it first came out. The SE R is heaver with the same power. Also with the SE R you have to shift 3 times to reach 60 and only twice with the normal 3.5 Altima. The SE R does however handle MUCH MUCH better and looks a million times better.

    so true my friend, so true! I have proved this point on the street as well! the altima se-r is one sexy ass whip! I plan on converting my body parts on my car to an se-r
