    Default 02 maxima engine(vq30) convert to 300zx(vg30)

i have a 92 300zx with a bad motor and i have a 02 v6 3.0 maxima engine laying around (vq30) so read on a website http://z31.com/repairs/newengine.shtml how to convert a maxima engine into a 300zx engine but on the website the guy used a 88 maxima motor and i think he used a z31 300zx. but i got a new maxima motor and a z32 300zx so i was wondering if it will work the same and if i can convert it.

    2000 - 2001 (5th Gen) = VQ30

    2002 - 2003 (5.5 Gen) = VQ35

Yes you can do a VQ swap into the 300zx. It's been done a couple times.

I was thinking of doing that, until I just decided it might be better to put on larger twin turbos once I get a 300zx for myself lol.

yeah that guy on the website must have used a 88 or older z31 300zx fo a 88 vg30de maxima motor because it is illegal to swap your motor fo one that is older than your car. and besides if he had a z32 300zx i highly doubt that he would swap the z32 stock motor fo a 88 vg30de motor

beginning of 02 was 3.0, later in 02 they released the 3.5

so that model year had two motors.
