I use rotas as dailys in DC's ungodly streets and as DE wheels with street tires (not shy of curbing either). Seen many others who use them on autocross, DE, daily cars with street or R comps without problems. Incidents happen with all kinds of wheels, the difference is the same Rota failure pics get recycled all over the internet, several years after it happened. And with the sheer amount of Rotas that get being used, I'm not surprised there's isolated incidents of failures. In the end, I could care less if people know it's Rota or not, as long as it works for me and does the job.

Sheer amount? Funny, I've yet to see one Work/Weds/Rays wheel being used on track in person, maybe if I go to some drift events I'll see more of them lol?Originally Posted by YokotaS13

It comes down to evaluating yourself if the tradeoff in quality (with how much "quality" you need and can use in mind) is worth the price break. From the sheer amount of rotas, team dynamics, and the likes being used all over the country, I think it's clear that wheels like these are a worthwhile alternative.
