i got a 02 nissan maxima se v6 3.0 motor laying around and i just bought a 92 nissan 300zx with a locked up motor and i was wondering if a convert the maxima engine into a 300zx engine will the zx be faster? or more hp? torque?

The VQ would be a better choice IMO. Due to the fact that a VG only puts down arund 220 crank horsepower and about 200 crank torque. The VQ that comes in a Maxima is already equipped with newer technology and would have less miles than the VG. And has slittly more HP and TQ. Of course if you want to boost it I would go with the VG.
