    Default need help on tire size

    I got a stock wheel, that i ran 245/40/17 can i put 265 on the rim. i know i can do 255. but how about 265 would that look or performe ok.

    its 8.5 wide

    I think it perform best when the tire is sitting flush with the wheels. Am I right?

    not always
    if its sa super high performance tire with a stiff sidewall sure

    other wise a SLIGHT strech will acheive the same stiffness comparatively.
    granted id run a 205/40 on it
