well first and for most i would get the block sleeved but if you dont want to because of the cost than get a block gaurd...now if i get a block gaurd i wouldnt just punch that sucker in...i would highly recommend you get it welded in and seamed out....its a whole lot better and the block gaurd wont move because block gaurds will move around when there is to much vibration being caused...other than that get your low comp pistons and stonger rods and the new bearings..i if you have the extra money you should get the whole rotating assembly balanced....as for the head if you dont want to spend much money on it either...just get a new valve assembly (which includes: valve guides, titanium retainers, valve springs, and vavles etc...)..if you can rev at to 9000 to 9500 rpm..you be making good power...this is probably an easy setup..you wont be able to get 500-600whp but you can get atleast around 400 to the wheels...maybe with alot of tuning you can probably get close to 500whp on race gas...but lmk how it goes buddy and good luck...![]()
