now i'll agree that it won't be the fastest car by any means, but the 350z is no slouch either.... and looks will be mostly subjective, but IMO it looks better (interior and exterior) than most sports cars < $40k
i think the rx 8 is the slowest "performance" car ive ever driven...

i haven't taken an official poll or anything, but i'm pretty sure that you'll be in the minority on that one.
the only car that is probably a better value would be the evo.. i've heard the interior is not up to par, but it more than makes up for it in exterior looks and performance....

Not really, cost about same as the IS250/350 and other similar range cars.
They've been out longer, and price value depreciated so that it's affordable instead of a civic. However, it doesn't mean that modding should cost the same as a civic to mod.
In fact, it's cheaper compare to similar "league" cars. The axle back for the new IS would cost almost a grand, while for the Z, the whole cat-back is lil bit more than a grand.
Or you can compare to the S2K as well, mod cost are pretty my relative the same as the Z/G.
Do you remember the fate of the 3000GT VR-4, 300zx TT, Supra TT, Stealth R/T TT, or the 3rd gen RX-7?
THAT is why the 350Z is not turbo'd from the factory.
Also, they wouldn't want to take away from GTR sales, either.

I know that ruiner. It cost too much to mod, that is the reason I didn't get one. Also I know it would take away from the GTR sales. But you have to have a less expensive turbo care that people could afford. How many people do you think can afford a GTR? I know I am going to buy a GTR, but what about those that dont have the money. They might like to have that option of a 350ztt or t.

With that said, turbo'ing a car is expensive and even more so from the factory. Couple that with having to make it California DOT accepted and that just adds more money.
It isn't worth the money that the car will cost if you turbo it. From the factory, a turbo'd 350Z would easily be $45k, perhaps $50k. Suddenly, you are in the C6 Corvette price range and that is not where you want the market to be.
Also, a single turbo isn't really feasible given the lack of room in the engine compartment and the V config of the engine.

Too heavy, tail-lights look stupid, and they've got a chintzy interior. They're not bad actually...the biggest problem is the weight.

i like the 300ztt more, i dont like the fact that they dont have a turbo option. other than that i dont think they are that bad of a car
Agreed. I like the Z33 but I dont think I would buy one to start modding for another 5-10 years when everything is ALOT cheaper. Even then I would choose G35 over Z33.
my teacher in high school had a 300ztt with bunch of aftermarket mods and that thing was down right FAST, not quick. but if you looked at it from the outside you would never expect it to be modded.

because everybody and their brother has a 350z. Seriously, they're getting to be pretty damn common... almost as bad as mustangs. The only 350z, to my knowledge, that i really, really like is Chris Forsberg's 5.6L V8 swap 350... because unlike 90% of the ones i've seen on the road, it's DIFFERENT. Also, most Z owners have that Mustang GT owner "better than you" mentality (minus the mullet and Skynyrd t-shirt). Personally i'd rather have a G35.please explain positive or negative

miata... maybe you can compare the two... if you were a chick. lol... jp... anyways the miata doesn't come turbo stock... and not everyone wants to void warranty and gamble with aftermarket turbos (what percentage of people actually put aftermarket turbos on their car? and good luck recouping all those costs when it's time to sell)
z is comparable to, if not better than, the s2k in performance stock for stock, and like i said looks are subjective...

sti/evo... i agree they are performance monsters.... but you'll be sacrificing ride and interior quality... depends on what you want the car for... as for me, 99.9% of my driving doesn't require me to go from 0-60/quarter mile/etc as fast as possible, so i would sacrifice some performance for a better interior and ride...
keep 'em coming because i think your list stops there... of the 7 cars that you mentioned, only 3, maybe 4, are even a halfway decent comparison... the rest don't even make sense to compare...
just out of curiosity... what car do you drive?

The cars I named handle good. Porsches have luxory and good all around performance, super cars? Def. not. But I personally think they look a LOTTTTTTTTTTT better then a 350.
I personally dont give a **** about luxory...so I guess this goes nowhere from me lol

guess it's all personal preference... i can say that a newer 350z is better than old boxsters and 911s (how old do you have to go to get 911s in this range anyway?) til i'm blue in the face... but people will always have different views..
