Default From EVO to ? Help me find a new car

I am looking for a car that will last me a GOOD SOLID 3 YEARS with no breakdowns, or major maintenance.

I am selling my current car (2005 EVO) because I don't have the same job or the same income and cannot afford the payments, insurance, basic wear and tear maintenance let alone big ones, or the cops.

It is hard for me to decide what car I am going to get because no matter what, I am getting a lesser of a car with less performance, and handling, and ... well pretty much everything.

My price range is anything from 5,000 - 19,999 (Keep in mind I don't want a bucket, I want a car that I will enjoy driving and doesn't look like crap)

    What should I get?
    Here is my list:

    Dodge - Magnum, Charger, Calibur

    Ford - Fusion, Mustang

    Honda - Fit, S2K

    Hyundai - Accent, Elantra, Sonata

    Infinity - G35 Coupe

    Mazda - MX3, RX8

    Mitsubishi Lancer - New Model

    Nissan - Altima, Sentra, Maxima

    Pontiac - G6, Solstice

    Scion - tC

Subaru - Impreza or Imp Wagon,

Toyota - Yaris, Camry, Corolla <---this is my MPG section

    VW - Rabbit, Golf,

    Other

    Is this a good deal?

    Worth the risk?

Ive always wanted one of these, but will it last 3 more years, or is the milage too high?

S2000's are VERY fun cars to drive. I used to own one. They're very reliable cars.

As soon as i saw your price range was 19k I was gonna say S2K. Any Honda is gonna be pretty reliable and it's a great car. That, or the g35 is sexy too.

I would pick either the g35 or the s2000. I wouldn't get the magnum because they are everywhere.

you want a fun car that's fast as well, look into a slightly used mazda speed3. Plenty of room,(i think) 230hp stock,

or even a 200X mazda 6 (only reason I say 6 is because my buddy has one and for some reason I just love driving it.) it handles great

now, I have to admit, I am acustom to having to try and get you to get a Scion tC. only because I own one. my judgement is a little tainted. ( its' motor is being built currently) they are a blast to drive and have plenty of torque to spare.they are very comfortable to ride in. the whole interior can fold completly flat. road trips are very fun it turns into an instant sleeper haha.

if you want a ride in a supercharged one you can ride in my roommate's or if you want to know what a "fast" one of thses cars is like. give me a few weeks and you can ride in mine. lol.

S2k for fun or the G35 for the comfort.
if you don't have a backup car, I say G35, you can't put many things into the s2k.

i'd say G35.. i loved my G35 and those motors will be good at 75k.. hell one of my co-workers had a 60-1 turbo G with about 20k miles on that set up and it was fine

get an s2k, even though g's are reliable i would never throw $20k at a car with 75k miles, plus hondas last damn near forever

S2K or G35, I personally wouldn't even consider the other two
you narrowed down to. S2Ks are easy to find under $20k, so
go with one of those. Really fun to drive too and worth the
    money.

It seems like the cars you're looking at are in the same range as the evo (price wise). What's the point of selling a car to get payment damn near same as your evo? Dont forget the insurance is going to be up there for the g35 and s2k.

Definetly go with the tc, impreza, lancer...or if I might add you should consider the Mazda 3...it handles better than most and gets better gas mileage then all of the above...and the S isn't slow either...just my 2 cents...

i say S2000, but of course I'm not biased. <-----shameless plug, buy mine and have no maintenance for 100k miles, a little over that $19,999 price range though, but its sexi!

also you left Saturn off your list. The Saturn Sky, if you can find one used, would be a cool car to have

But the two from your list, like everyone else is saying, would be S2k or G35C. They are both sex on wheels, the Honda will be more reliable though.

    Wanna trade your evo?

I would suggest the s2000 and also have you considered a volkswagen r32 (thats a pretty fun car to drive)since you are considering getting a volkwagen...maybe like an 04 r32
