actually i have had 7 over the past 3 years or so and on those 7 cars were a total of 3 sets of fake ass cheap wheels and you know how many times they failed me? zero times! i drive a civic not a full on race car. therefore i dont see the advantage to these super expensive hyped up wheels (that is my opinion)TurdYou have had three civics

we all have opininions here. of course i think i am right and you think you are right...in reality we are all right. none of us are saying spoon wheels are ****ty. i just dont see how they can be so much better for daily driving your ****ty civic. i drive a ****ty civic and i dont think $1300 worth of aluminum will make it any better! so for $700 cheaper i can roll on some wheels that to most ppl are just a stylish wheel.
i can see where you guys would hate rota's though..i have a freind with real spoons and ppl are always commenting on his slips! he could have saved some money and no one would have cared
but can you tell a difference while you are rolling on them? does the car roll better through the parking lot at macy's? i guess on that trip to your girlfreinds house you can be rest asured that you are safer with those spoon rims that you would be with any other dot approved rim....i know it seems like i am being a **** here but im just debating. im sure they have advantages on the track but for daily use i just dont see it.
after all, wearing a rubber is great when you are banging a nasty from the club but for the daily grind with your steady girlfreind just raw dog it for the cheap!
i rock rotas cause i cant seem to get myself to buy expensive wheels for street abuse/use. i was going to get some works wheels but why when they are going to get trashed and rock chips and such.... i think they are sexy awsome made wheels but i am not going to buy wheels just to throw on for a show or event. i drive my **** every day and rotas are ok for me. but i give props to those who buy expensive wheels and rock them everyday. you have big balls my friendsif i had a track car or was building a show car of course i would go with the expensive real deal ****........

That's the point some of us have been trying to make, the high quality wheels are made for the track because of their differences from the re-pro's. I'd hope that if you spent an azz ton of money on motor work, suspension, etc., you'd do the same in the wheel dept so there's a slimmer chance of your car being sent for a roller coaster ride. The lighter wheels may just even make your lap times (or 1/4mi times for you draggers) quicker. on the track for sure use some good ****..but im not rolling on those real deal expensive wheels on the street...and why look like ass on doo-doo's when you can get some rota's or some other cheap wheel and have your car look good? to each his own...you wanna roll on doo-doo's thats you. but im rolling on rota's, drag's, fliks, nippons ect..im not THAT proud

I'm into the more suttle look. I'd rather spend the $800 that the rotas with tires cost somewhere else on the car and keep my meshes. As long as I have grippy tires for cruising/driving, the wheels don't matter on street. Just difference in train of thought and opinion/preference. I'm not knockin you though dude, at all.

Well, i was looking at the finish and it looks too dark. Spoons look more flat, more of a grey black rather than a deep semigloss. My bad my bad.
So you agree that Rotas are high quality, since a ton of people rock them for track.
Like I said before, no matter what wheels you're using on track, dilligent use is the most important factor.

No, you don't seem to understand what I'm saying. Rotas are NOT high quality. That's why I PERSONALLY wouldn't use them on the track, and if you're smart, you wouldn't either. And your dilligent use of your rotas will probably result in a broken wheel.
