If it didn't weigh so damn much, it would be pretty cool. It looks like a 300zx and a Saturn SC had a baby with Silvia headlights. Is it AWD?

they are really neat cars.I think if suby came out with something newer (model wise) of it I bet it would really grab eyes and sell. It had the makings of cool car but it weight is an issue and needs MORE BOOST!

on the forums they say it has large tranny problems\

trannys get hot easily. and wheel bearing s go out.
and breaks werent upgraded for the heavy ness, so rotors warp often.

Those cars have always intrigued me. Primarily because of what seems to be high outside visibility.

It's almost like they tried to eliminate blind spots by using a high amount glass.

    Never driven one though.

yeah its said it was made for large area of visibility, but also it reduces wind noise, even with windows down, and boasts u can have windows down in rain.

the 1st gen of that car the XT (alcyone) seemed like it had the same issues.. My mom had one bought i brand new. She had a turbo model, and i remember she always had to get the brakes done like every 4 months...lol it had alot of problems, tho but it was minor stuff tho. it added up especially in a car noone wanted to touch..i remember those crazy door handles..car was crazy back when it first came out...

    1.8 Turbo

They're slow as balls, don't get it.

I think they came in a 5 speed on 94 or 95, they lose the Awd and went to a Fwd. Having a 3.3L will give you decent low to mid range power. But its wieght will come into effect after 100. Heard by d993s that its extremly slow up top.

They look aight in person, not all that though. But im in the same boat as you, I just found out about them early this year. Saw one at Subaru of Gwinnett.

they never had stickshifts only auto with tripomatic or what ever porshes have......and only the base was FWD which they later dropped, but the car could not out perform its rivals like the amazing 3kGT VR4

X2! ...you'll NEVER EVER find parts for it and when you do they will be probably be more expensive than a new STI's. I've seen numerous SVX's sitting at shops for 6 months to over a year just because a certain part isn't available.

Take the body and strip down to just the necessities you need then put in an STI power AND drive train...suspension too while you're at it!
