So if you want to know the answer... look up your own info, and see yourself. The sunfire itself is a decent platform, but you jsut got stuck with the one withthe 2.2 ohv motor, which isnt the better one. Now to aviod going out and buying another car that will lleave you stuck in the same position with a slow car that will require alot of money , and alot of knowledge . to get what u want out of it. You HAVE TO HAAAAAAVE To search yourself. honestly you arent gonna be any better power wise, with a Ex civic. i bet stock vs. stock ur sunfire owuld prob be faster...lol. Maybe you should stick with the sunfrie alil bt longer. The parts are out ther for the car but i dont think yoru willing to do the work to find and or get the parts. The same amou
nt of money it will take you to get the civic to where u want it, the sunfire would probrably require the same. There is another whole world of other compacts that ppl dont know about or dont care to tune.. but will perform just as well if not better than the fan favorite honda civic.

if i was you i wouldnt have gotten a non GT sunfire in the first place...lol, if you would have researched and read up on the car, you owuld have atleast got a sunfire gt with the ecotec!
Yeah, i've done a little bit of research. I've found j-body.org, and streetvisioncc.com, and a few other sites....And, its possible to get my sunfire into a range between 12 - 14 seconds, depending on how i do it. In order to get THAT though, i have to run a boosted Ecotec. But, what I would like to do, to be a little different, is build a non-Eco engine, with an auto tranny, thats still somewhat quick.

And, as far as me ''choosing'' the car, I didnt really get a chance to pick or whatever. This car just fell into my lap for $500, and i NEEDED it to immediately replace the dwindling 'rolla as my DD.
