but what is the point of aftermarket steering wheels,i mean i see why u replace the airbag steering wheels with them...but i mean a FC has no airbags y would switch it?

looks better
Shorter diameter, so it's sort of the same idea as a short shifter, making your steering wheel turn distance shorter.
BUY MY NEW BOOK! ITS CALLED, IF YOU LIKE IMPORTANTLANTA THERE'S A STRONG CHANCE YOU'RE A FAGGOT
I think they look much worse, and if you aren't a race car driver, I highly doubt you need that minimal better feel and very minimal difference in steering wheel distance turn.
joey you are gay for ian.

It is for the two-stage nitrous injection. Haven't you ever seen The Fast and the Furious?
Actually, just like they said. Better feel and smaller diameter. I guess you could throw in that detachable ones are favorable if you have a serious cage in your car since you can remove them for more space when getting in/out.
Basically, unless your car is a dedicated race car, you probably don't need an aftermarket steering wheel.
UGA: Everybody is laughing at us this year.
We replaced the wheel in our 1987 BMW 325 because the factory wheel was MASSIVE. It looked better too.
I want to replace the wheel in my car...but only with a newer OEM SAAB wheel.
This one...

my reasoning in buying one soon
1) can't steal it if ya can't steer it
2) looks better
3) eets jay dee em (nardi or keys)
4) suede steering wheels ftw!
Also keep in mind with the smaller diameter yes you get the quicker turn radius but it also ups the resistance against you.

Please tell me if you think my car looks good. But don't tell me if you think it's ugly - only on IA
you dont need a steering wheel necassarily to steel a car.

well i put a grant steering wheel in my blazer and it feels a lot better. the stock one looked like a bus steering wheel. the smaller diameter makes it to where you turn the wheel less to get a greater amount of turning..... makes sense to me
it just feels better. period

comfort, looks, diameter, and location* especially on the fc. if your doing anything crazy at all youll end up hitting the lights or the WS wiper switch... then you look dumb cuz your lights SUDDENLY open up when your in the mountians... or your wipers start going crazy.
the "racing" wheel puts the wheel about 2 inches back and feals AMAZING. yes i have one in mine

Sometimes the OEM wheel just wears down and some aftermarket wheels can replace the oem with similar diameter, but just a better feel or look.
you have a jet, steering wheels dont come in jetsOriginally Posted by VooDooXII
Like everyone said, better feel, small diameter, luckily mine comes off because it is hard getting out of my car, etc. You can get better grip out of them as well. And a lot of cars have ugly stock steering wheels lol.
Well look at the big aluminium accents...those look pretty jettish.Originally Posted by WHAT_LAG
