get some damn Avons!
Why? I already got tires. Later, QD.
i've had both, and in my experience, kumho all the way. those falken 512's don't seem to handle and ride as smoothly. i have had them both on my mr2 and integra... KUMHO.
i just got these Kumho Ecsta AST tires for my 99 Civic Si..they drive good...since discount tire direct.com is having a crazy deal
i am ordering the Falken ZE912 for $124 shipped..they are the newer model of the 512..JDM made! can;t go wrong with that
they're both crap commuter tires. not performance oriented at all. so get whatever is easier on your wallet. they might be ok in the rain though.....
or better yet, just go to pep boys and get the cheapest **** they got.
both tires are good with overall quality and all season performance for the best bang for your buck...especially if your not going for no TREAD and HIGH PERFORMANCE TIRES
I've stated on a few occasions that these are for a Grand Am. So I'm not looking for performance. Later, QD.Quote:

Umm, doesn't that mean the Falkens tires will get better grip though? :DQuote:

I just never think Falken as a brand to compare with Kumho.
I don't know about 512, but my FK452 is really good IMO.
Falken
GOD thats HARD. I've had both. I have Falkens currently and they are GREAT in the rain, OMG are they great. Travelin 90+ in heavy rain with very little fear. Plus they are very quiet on the road and cheap. But the Kuhmo, are very good for the long run. They are more expensive (sometimes) but they are also nice in the rain. The 512 (my current tire) are nice and I'd give em reps for this poll. But I like them both. And, well it may also depend on the car u happen to have. But again I like them both.
They still make them... I bought some 2 months ago...Quote:

After I started using Falken Azenis RT 215s, I couldn't drive on anything else. Not a single other street tire I've experienced, feels quite like them. They're absolutely phenomenal tires, in ordinary, dry weather, you'd almost swear you were running slicks.
I've got a set of RT 615s waiting to go on my AE86 now.
kuhmo's .......
