y8 IMO i think its a better platform but thats my opinion. there have been people hitting 250's and close to 300 around here on SOHC y8's with full race manifolds and bigger turbos. but honestly i don't know much about the D15b. but i think that a well built (aka built to perform what they were intended to do well with quality parts) should be able to achieve 240 with no sweat

y8 because if you want to change the internals you are going to have to get custom parts. I believe the pistons are unique and noone makes aftermarket parts for it. The d15b block is different from all other d15 blocks.

I've driven both. If you like hearing VTEC get the d15b, but if you mod the y8 pretty well...that thing can pull. My friend had one that we were pulling on LS's and GSR's all day. Lol

iono....but the d15b still seems to be my choice...because of the pull once vtec opens up.. your body just jerks...especially for a sohc that can jerk you back thats pretty good...

D15B, 4-1 header, ITB setup, and a good tune. I watched a video of a eg with that setup and he made somewhere around 165whp and the thing pulled like it had a B16A... pretty cool little motor IMO.

that sounds like a sohc zc motor or something. i've seen people run them in a rex or somethign and just barely break into the high 15's.
