    Default HUBS, or no hubs?

You all know what they are! They're those plastic wheel covers that everyone likes to call ''cheap'' when they're on a modded car!

My question is.....would it be fine/okay for me to put some different wheel covers onto a car that lowered..?

Since, i cant afford REAL rims at the moment, and because most people mistake the wheels for donuts when they're not....i was thinkin, might it be okay if i got some plastic wheel covers on, as long as they dont look crappy..??

Hahhha I did that to my old Corolla's wheels. They look the EXACT same way those do, too. But, the wheels on my new car are different, they're the kind that NEEDs a hubcap on em. You cant just paint em and have em look good..

Rock the steelies, don't put wheel covers on.

I acquired some Porsche 924 trim rings/beauty bands to put on steelies once...that was after I traded my factory aluminum wheels for them because I was afraid of breaking one off road

    Example from a V meet...

Well, i'll keep on rockin tha Steelies then! But, i DO kinda wanna do something a lil bit different with them, that'll still keep my car lookin fairly clean.... To me, the dull black look is gettin a lil bit boring...

If I were in that position of wheel covers or nothing, I would do wheel covers. They may look cheap, but they will look even cheaper with nothing there. If you are able to paint the wheel, then that is a good option. I know I can't stand the look of steelies without wheel covers personally.

I just got another idea-- What if i were to just grind off the black paint, and smooth/polish it so its bare steel, then spray it with clear/cover coat??
