    Default Who else uses Ice?

    I mean this stuff, silly.

I used it on my entire car, headlights, and wheels last night. It made the biggest difference of anything I've ever used! Not to mention, all you have to do it apply and remove like a simple handwax, only it's even easier!!

I used the entire line, and personally I think its GARBAGE. I only use Zaino / Meguiars Gold products.

The wax layer only lasted through 2 washes. And the liquid clay is no substitute for real clay and lube.

I like the quick detailer and I've got some of the wax but havent used it yet. Other than that I usually use Meguiars.

I've heard alot about how Ice sucks but honestly I've used Meguiar's Gold a couple times & it's not bad but definitely not the best either. I used it on a black car & it'd leave smudges behind; I like Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax the most!

I haven't tried Meguiars waxes yet, but I do use their Clear Plastic Polish & Cleaner on my headlights. It gets them clear every time!

Maybe I'll have to pony up and buy some of their wax too..

there are pros and cons to ICE.

    The good
-easy to apply and take off
    - not dependent on temperature to application/removal
    - great for a quick "just waxed look" without the trouble of actually waxing
    - does not turn white on rubber/plastic

    The Bad
    - Does not last very long at all
    - can leave streaks if not taken off with a fresh clean cloth
    - expensive (last i checked)

I did find a good use for the ICE though. Interior. Yup, apply it like you would the outside of the car, let dry and buff off. Makes for a good clean look and not having a shitload of shine... jsut nice and dark. Lasts a good while on a dash/plastics.

I used it and it somehow screwed up the paint on my front bumper cover. I have a milano red GSR (original paint, original oem body parts, never wrecked or repainted), and after using the liquid clay bar and polish, the paint was very dull looking and since then I have washed it, used a real clay bar, and real carnuba wax and it still looks like shit. The liquid clay bar must have some sort of solvent or other chemical like a degreaser which made my clear coat cloudy or something.... I used to work for a car lot detailing cars about 5 years ago when I was in highschool, so I know what I am doing. I followed the directions exactly, and it turned out like shit. it also did something similar on the spoiler. the polish worked good on the trim and lights and most of the rest of the car, but ruined the paint on the painted urethane and fiberglass parts (bumper covers and spoiler)

It may not be noticeable on other colors, but if you have a red car I would stay away from it.

I have pretty much a full bottle of the liquid clay bar and polish that I will sell for $15 (I paid $32 for both)
