if you're talking jrsc the turbo is better because you can run a fmic and cool the intake charge. the jrsc bolts directly to the intake and the only intercooler you can do is water injection. also, a jrsc is it's most efficient between 6 and 10psi. you start trying to spin a jrsc to 15psi and you're blowing a lot of hot air.
comptech or vortech superchargers (turbo on a stick) can be intercooled and are not a bad way, but more complex than a turbo and not as easily modified if you want quicker spool or a different configuration.
