Blackshine's 626 sounded awesome...nice and metallic, almost like an M3.

There's a blue E60 M5 that I've seen in the Atlanta/Buckhead area that sounds AMAZING. It has some sort of aftermarket exhaust...it's great.

I love GM's LS-series engines...well, lots of V8's for that matter. The SVT Cobra's sounds great especially with the supercharger. Even Volvo's new V8 engines sound great. I also like the FX45's V8 note.

Anyone ever heard the new Eclipse V6s? Very nice. Also can't forget the Subaru boxer engines.

My SAAB on the other hand doesn't sound so great. It sounds nice from the exhaust pipe, but from the cabin, it sounds like an angry vacuum cleaner. The turbocharger is the only saving grace. That thing SHRIEKS.

I also like turbo diesel engines...those always sound cool.

    Japanese - STi/WRX (I know I'm biased, but a boxer engine + unequal length headers = sex).

European - Ferrari, really any of them.

American - Any old school carbureted v8 with a nice free flowing exhaust

Best - tie between Carrera GT, Zonda F, Ferrari F355

Worst - Dodge Viper, BMW M3 (E46), any rotary with an open exhaust

The Carrera GT is one of the only "supercars" i've experienced over and over again, or actually spent any time on the track and street driving next to...only heard an Enzo 2 or 3 times and don't even think it was ever at WOT and the F355 can't even begin to compare! The challenge F355 definitely has a nice tone though!

For street legal cars the CGT and Enzo by far have the nicest sound but the F40 will still give you a hard on

You gotta hear an F355 with no cats and a Capristo Lvl 3 exhaust. The shriek it makes sounds unbelievable. For the 10 minutes the car runs until it breaks down again.

oh it does sound good, especially if you only get to hear an exotic every few weeks or months or so...but compared to the ones the average person might see once a year or every few years it's got nothing on them

Here is a really shitty video of my exhaust that I made. It was like the second day I had the exhaust and its not edited so keep the flaming down a bit.

I think it sounds pretty good for being a non turbo

wanna know a "secret"... where the dual pipes go to the back then right at the diff it makes a 90° toward the outside of the car then another 90° to the rear. At those flanges right at the diff take out both bolts on each then rebolt it with one bolt so the inner hole of the muffler side is bolted to the outer side of the flange...you now have no mufflers with no rattles and just takes 2 or 3 minutes to do with a ratcheting box end

It dosent rattle like that in real life I told you it was a very shitty video cause it distorts the sound alot. I will get another when I can get ahold of my friends digital camera.

And after going back and looking at the video for the 876432586254 time I can see where you would say that is exhaust rattle. And it is not. Just the crappy sound quality of the camera.

i haven't even heard the video yet, i just know most people that starting screwing with exhaust will always have rattles...so i mentioned it doesn't rattle when you do it that way

It's not entirely loud but at about 3k rpms it has a drone that WILL set off car alarms at least 50 feet away, oops

It's amazing what happens when an orchestra member is hired by a car manufacturer to analyze the tones to determine what is the most pleasant sounding

Yea that cam is ridiculous...I've got mixed feelings about that "about to die" idle. Sometimes I think it sounds absolutely bad-ass...other times, I think it sounds idiotic.

Yeah it gets to be a bit much when drag cars literally can't stay on for more than 10 seconds without just stalling, but hey it's still badass sounding in my opinion.

Once upon a time, a storm shook the athens meet in the shape of an '89 Stang.

00 Rusty mentioned it, SimonTibbet, allierae and a few others on here will vouch to its orgasmic decibles.

I loved riding through parking lots setting off car alarms at IDLE.

Simon, straight-pipe porsches sound like old, stock straight-pipe trucks...not so good.

The 350z and G35 does sound decent factory and even better with borla.

Several don't like the EVO, but 00 Rusty will vouch for the white one at the track that night-it sounded awesome and roasted all four.

STI's with aftermarket cams sound good.

Cummins Straigh-Pipe...there are sooo many more

00 Rusty does have a good example of a bad exhaust (and did on the neon too) but will hopefully soon have it fixed.

honestly i have never heard of many wrx's with aftermarket cams on them, since its a flat 4 its a pretty difficult mod to do. you may be right but lol i've never heard a wrx/sti with cams

but yea as a biased opinion
a wrx/sti is great but i'm sure theres plenty more better out there.
majority of cbe/tbe sound almost the same on subies.
