Yeah, but dropping the blower and adding twins..... There probably isnt anything on the east coast hwy wise that would touch it.
I like the viper other than the front bumper, head unit, vents, and climate control. It seems to drop more panties than a C6, just b/c its less common. Honestly, I dont think Dodge will beat chevy until they can get the weight down on the viper, and I just dont see that happening. Less weight requires less power which in term is less stress to retain the same speed and acceleration. I mean a wider gear in the tranny is a power killer in itself. They just keep throwing more power at it and its going to get expensive to keep up.
P.S. the rasp of the v10 DOES NOT sound like shit, sounds like a race car.
And as far as Chevy putting a smaller engine in the new vette and adding a blower, thats stupid. I will buy the "cheaper" 7.0 and put a blower on it and BAM, you killing the top of the line vette. Or if your ballin, add a set of twins or single, how does 750whp at 6psi sound?
How expensive are the twins for the Ford GT?
$7,500 for an APS kit on the C6Z and it'll make 700rwhp. +250rwhp over stock. Not to mention the bank you save off the initial purchase price. Another couple grand for forged internals (rods/pistons/valvetrain) and you're looking at 1000hp.
I've seen some pretty nasty TT Ford GTs and Vipers too, though.
Who knows. Hard to say what car is better without actually having them built and seeing them run.

a friend of mine just bought the 2008 Z06 and his uncle has a 2006 SRT/10 and for those 2 years the Z06 ate the viper up from a roll...

The new one's seems more I ono more spirited but well have to see a review. Remember this the 08 Z06 was uprgraded underneath the hoodand some other stuff. The Viper on the other hand the engine and the whole suspension and tires were changed. SO STOP TALKING ABOUT THE PAST AND FOCUS ON THE FUTURE!!! JEEZZ!!!!
Ford GT was a failure in beginning from what i hear. Rushed it and most of the componets were not good enough. Like Top Gear said it kept getting repaired.
well I was comparing the 2008 viper to the 2008 Z07 (or corvette SS, whatever). I am focused on the future. The new vette has a new engine, carbon fiber body, beefed up suspension... who gives a fuck if the tires were changed.
