hmmmmm.... maybe he meant 1/8
^^ doubtful. He probably just bought a b16 swap for like 1500 bucks and is trying to sell it for 2500 and tell everyone that there is type r internals. . . wouldn't you have to bore it out to get the pistons in there? I might look into this, and run with it.
No, the pistons and rods will work. What makes the b16 a 1.6 liter is the stroke, and the same goes for the b18.Originally Posted by Mr.MuayThai

B16A PR3:
ROD LENGTH: 5.290”
STROKE: 3.031”
BORE SIZE: 3.189 “(81MM)
COMPRESSION HEIGHTS: 1.180”
DOME HEIGHT: .098”
WEIGHT: 299 GRAMS

ROD LENGTH: 5.429”
STROKE: 3.433”
BORE SIZE: 3.189” (81MM)
COMPRESSION HEIGHTS: 1.190”
DOME HEIGHT: .070”
WEIGHT: 310 GRAMS
B16 with a USDM ITR piston (P73-A0) is only going to be 10.4:1 compression and using the JDM ITR (P73-00) would make it 10.7:1. With a B16 i would have put in the CTR (PCT) piston and had 11.1:1![]()
pshhh forget that
i got 7.8:1 on my car lolol (really)

...Last fall Rocket Motorsports put a NA b18 crx downrange for a time of 9.3 in the 1/4 mile. Breaking Skunk2s claim to fame with their NA RSX. (boohoo)
i think it's totally possible... although i havn't looked at the link you supplied though...
I'm on dialup right now....*sigh*[looks down at shoes while waiting for page to load]

it possible dude. but i dont think that type of set up would hit 10s. to hit 10s in a n/a takes lots of money n u gotta build more than that.
now ricer. it is skunk and rocketmotorsports (db1 says) did it nicelyOriginally Posted by TRYMY4.0

maybe if he had that engine in a bare crx chassis with no interior except the steering wheel and an egg crate to sit on.
Land Rover LR3 HSE
agreed i call bullshit as well
You only live once, maybe twice if you use the e-brake!
this setup would not run 10s in a crx. all he has is just the R pistons and intake manifold. i dont think this setup even yields the C5 stock power. Oh maybe hes running 10s because he has HEADERS! 2>1 FTW
