Racing is a contest of speed. Speed is defined as distance over time.

Therefore racing is a contest of speed over time. Youre not getting timed youre getting judged. Its a badass sport....its just not racing.

There is speed involved but that isn't the primary thing you are being judged on. I know because if it was I could bring the STI out and whoop youre ass.

Pretty damn close, but actually velocity is speed with a given direction hence why you can treat velocity as a vector when performing various calculations.

You do know what velocity is don't you?
