What makes you say that? Remember, the Mazda 6 was out for a while before the MS6 model came out. Give it some time and there may be a MS in the line-up.Originally Posted by Rican219

I hope they continue to add models. I'm still waiting on the introduction of the Mazda9 (929). I miss that big ass car lol.I just saw pics of the Mazda2 that's going to compete with the Nissan Versa.
I'd love to see a new 929-type car from Mazda...with another Miller cycle engine, haha.Originally Posted by Six2Six

Google time.
A miller cycle engine is basicly like this: During the intake process, as the piston goes down, the intake valve opens with it. on a regular Otto cycle engine (conventional), the valve is about closed when the piston reaches bottom dead center and as the piston returns back up, it's pressurizing the cylinder to make the most power. The miller cycle engine on the other hand stays open most of the time during the combustion process. Though not as much as staying in, it better promotes a better swirl for better gas mileage at the cost of not as much power. The stock Miller cycle engine (2.3L S/C V6) gets 2 mpg city / 1 mpg hwy better than the stock Millenia 2.5L and out powers it by 40 hp/40 ft lbs.Originally Posted by VooDooXII
I think the technology was wasted, personally. It could've went towards a twin scroll turbo to get basicly the same gas mileage and still have enough space to do anything. Everything was expensive on the car, but they were reliable. I hope the Mazda 9 don't have a miller cycle engine.

I doubt it will (if they even come out with a Mazda9), especially with Ford poking its nose in almost everything Mazda does. If they even come out with a larger car than the 6, it will probably use the same engine as the top of the line Mazda6.Originally Posted by blackshine007
And for all the Ford fanatics, don't get me wrong, Ford probably saved Mazda from going under back in the 90s. But at the same time, they also stifiled Mazda's ingenuity, uniqueness, and reliability of it's best selling car.

im waiting for the RX-8 redesign in 09 or 10
i wish they would of released the 2000 626 mps 2.5l v6 twin turbo awd. BUT FAWKING FORD SCREWED US!
I spend money on HP not Brand Names.

I think the only reason Mazda never imported any of the ZE's was because Ford didn't want any competition with the mustang. Just with small mods at the time, a '93 Probe GT would walk the same year mustang on top end. The ZE would've been even nastier to it. They could've brought back the 626 and MX6 GT names with the better engine. Freaking ford ftl.Originally Posted by kfzemx3

The 626 was the best selling Mazda and was selling really good. Most people bought the 4 cylinder atx and didn't know they were buying a ticking time bomb. The engines and other transmission choices were pretty good. When paired to the CD4E, it caused all type of overheating issues with that good 4 banger. Naturally, critics write about the trans problems, people avoid them like the plague. Mazda USA was damn near worth nothing after '95. No sports car. After '97, no 2 door of any sort. Which left them with 2 vague 4 door sedans, a pick up truck not theirs and a near luxury sedan. Their image is alot better now, but the cars are heavy as hell. You won't find anything under 2800 lbs rolling on their show room floors no time soon, unless the Mazda2 comes next yearOriginally Posted by six2six

But yeah, through the 90s, Mazda got bland. They should have released the Mazdaspeed 626 back in '98. Twin turbo KL ftw.Actually, Ford saved them in the 80's when mazda wasn't doing so hot. I agree. The only complaint I have about the Mazda6 is that it's not RWD. However, they're very fun to drive, especially the V6.Originally Posted by TwoPointOhh

i think the 9 will come back in a few years. if it does it would probrably be a all mazda design. its gonna have to because big rwd cars are making a comeback. But mazda/ford/volvo will be sharing alot more platforms in the future, to save money. because the mondeo was gonna be brought to the US but it changed when they decided to do liuke most companies are doing now, and use the same platform with all its models. But the good ews is we will get alot more european styled cars, fords euro cars are alot better soem of the cars we have now. i think they should bring the probe/mx6 back tho..ford/mazda needs another compact to feel the gap.
I think it would do better as an MX-6. Most would buy a Japanese car over an American one anyday, even if they do share the same drivetrain. Also, the Altima coupe needs some competetion as well as the Solara that should be back in a couple of years.Originally Posted by JITB
but ford/mazda isnt gonna want to go in with a midsize coupe by themselves. Thats why if they did make a 2dr 6cyl coupe it would have to be multiplatform. on the volvo/mazda/ford. altima has competition, the G6 is very popular as well as the monte carlo. those cars have been selling pretty well, i think the drawback for the altima is the price, and most would end up buying a used g35 over a altima coupe.. i know i would, eventho they will sell i dont see them making the altima coupe for too long.
i think hondas problem is they seem afraid to try something different. there cars are getting boring. i dont see the civic/accord getting popular unless it gets some major redesign and motors. hondas lack of engien choices just makes it boring. but they have loyal buyers, and a great track record...and they sell..i guess thats all that matters.
the new accord has the k24 or a 3.5 right? but is it a new 3.5 or is it a stroked 3.2? the civic isnt what it used to be in the tuner market. they should bring back the rsx/integra, and lower the price of the civics. Before it ends up like the expensive ass celicas..Originally Posted by BlkCD5

VERY NICE! how much
BUY MY NEW BOOK! ITS CALLED, IF YOU LIKE IMPORTANTLANTA THERE'S A STRONG CHANCE YOU'RE A FAGGOT
It looks sweet.. I could see maybe trading mine for it. And I love my car too, I wish it were RWD though. V6 5spd is a fun little car to drive, handles like it's on rails too.

Yeah the base 6 starts in the upper teens, the base 3 in the low 30s. More than a $10k difference.Originally Posted by VooDooXII
