Any reason why my vtec isn't consistent at when it "kicks in"??
Sometimes it does at 4700 rpms sometimes it's at 5k, no real pattern. The oil level also hasn't affected it.

throttle position affects vtec. at least on my gsr. if i am at WOT then it kicks in at 4400. if i am not WOT, its at 5000.
im installing vtekk on my car this weekend, ill let you know how mine turns out

thats how it was on my prelude, it was real hesitant to "kick in" if the rmps were climbing slower at low throttle rather then WOT. Invest in a VAFC if you dont already have one!Originally Posted by patrick4588
