    Default Banner Engineering Pontiac GXPR

Saw this on speed doing REALLY well against the vettes, and porsche's. Seems to be doing well in its series, already bringing home a win. This is just what I have gotten from about 5 min of searching the internet. It is definitely a badass looking car though. Anyone know if there is a production model of this car? I thought that it was a race requirement that the car had to be a production car. Possibly a replacement for that failure of a GTO.

Yea, there's a Pointiac GXP but not a GXP-R! Pretty sure it either has a supercharged v6 (3100,3400,3800) or the turbo ecotec engine that they use in the Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Redline!

Also, if they didn't have the bigger pontiac rear wing on the back It'd put you in the mind of a G35 rear from that picture angle! It's a clean car, with a nice line to it, for a domestic. Especially as a GM car.....

Hmmmm, it looks like a Pontiac G6? If so, isn't that FWD? Amazing that it'd keep up with Vettes and Porsches....

Pontiac is supposed to be coming out with a Grand Prix replacement that's RWD and has like a small V8 with 300-400 hp. Its definitely not out yet tho. I think its based on the Commodore over in Australia.

All I know that it would be a great car to replace the GTO with. I am glad that it is stylish and much better looking than the camaros and trans am's from the 90's to 01 or which ever year was the last. Need to make it to where you can slap some meats on the back and ride. From what little I watched of it today on tv it was doing REALLY well against the prosches. They were a couple lengths back and not in any position to make any passes. I believe his fellow GXPR was in the top 5 as well.
