Does any one know when it's gonna hit the shores of America?

the one thing i have heard is that the evo x is going to be the first evo made in the USA which some ppl think is going to take away from the performance of the car. also the designer that designed all the other evos is not designing this one... its some other guy so the car looks a lot different and ppl think its going to perform different as well. i think it looks good but i guess we will have to wait and c what its going to feel like on the streets once we get our hands on it.
so you dont like my car?Originally Posted by HypnoToad

I love my car, and probably will never trade up for a X. However, they are doing some amazing things with the handling side of performance on the Evo X. They are incorporating AYC (which we didn't get before) with the ACD to become S-AWC. It is kinda getting watered down with some extra luxury features though. This in turn will move it out of the price range of the potential buyers that know about and respect the car's PERFORMANCE heritage. It is not a sport luxury car! I am also not convinced about the new paddle shifting dual wet clutch like VW has. We'll see how they stand up to extra hp and abuse down the road.
We'll also see how the 4B11 will handle high boost applications. I think mitsu did this for another reason. It is lighter and better at stock levels, but what about when mitsu denies all the warranty claims for blown engines that buckle under high stress. The iron block 4G63 seems to be the main thing on the Evo that you never have to worry about. Just another excuse to deny coverage. The 4G63 is practically bulletproof. I doubt that the new engine will be as good as its predecessor.
That is true i have been loving the 4g63 since my 91 talon. The motor has been around forever, i think it was one of the best engines ever. It is right up there with the Ls1, 2jz,13b.
I like it. The thing is, most people (Americans) are leery of things that are out of the ordinary. And this car is far from ordinary. Another good thing is that when the X is released, it will make the previous generations more affordable.![]()
love the interior
that engine bay is complete sex... ive seen those pics before but +1 anywayOriginally Posted by Six2Six
ehhh a dual exhaust? I guess i'm not really a fan of dual exhausts on imports; maybe it's cuz i've seen so many ricer civics with dual exhausts. But then again this isn't a 4 cylinder is it?
I think a spoiler like the ones on 99-00 civic si's (a little flatter and shorter) would look a lot better instead of this curvy one. Still would love to have one.
RX-7s had dual exhaustsOriginally Posted by bigpimpatl
you mean rx-8s? I think rx-7s have a dual tip exhaust...Idk in my mind a dual exhaust is more of an american muscle car thing so it's strange for me to see one on an import...
The FC3S had dual exhausts...Originally Posted by bigpimpatl

...ninja
yea,my S5 had dual...Originally Posted by ubers2k
I am not sure if they're continuing the Evo series in Japan. I scoured the Japanese website, and I did not see it anywhere in their "car lineup" or even under the "future/concept" section. Does that mean we get something that theyd don't?
Hey did you recently get your Evo? Is it a used SE? Looks like a friend's old one.
new X is ugly 2 me but kinda nice in some way
Spending money i don't have, to buy parts i really don't need, to impress people i don't know
I like it just hope it is as strong as its predecessor.
