a way to alter the voltage going to your map sensor so u can change fuel settings while running bigger injectors. or even alter your stock ones. typically you use this on boosted applications as a cheap way out. u cant really tune it very well, and its should only be used as a temporary way till u get hondata, chrome, ems, etc.

    what he said ^^

also, the thing to know about the hack is since it alters your map voltage to push you back/forward in your fuel table to adjust fueling it also does the same thing in your timing tables...not so good especially if you're using the true afc hack w/ large injectors and large corrections.

socketed/chipped ecu with hondata or crome would be the way to go and not spend uncessary money to begin with and risk potential damage using the hack.

dont go the hack route. trust me i did it and ran my car for a few months with it and then went chipped ecu and it was to late, i blew my motor after about 2 months. do it right the first time and call scott and get a chipped ecu.

yep, definetly not worth it if ur alraedy going to spend a few thousand for the turbo kit, dont go cheap on the fuel management, most crucial part

yeah just chip your ecu it's only 80 bucks... a VAFC is atleast 100 used and you would still need to buy a MSD Boost Retard or something to retard the timing while under boost to be safe... and that would still be the ghetto way...

AFC hack uses a MAP sensor in place of tapping the TPS voltage for reference to the AFC. That way corrections can be based on manifold pressure instead of throttle position.

The AFC does the same thing, add or subtract from MAF or MAP voltage to change the amount of fuel delivered by tricking the ECU to use injector pulse from the section of the load map that correlates with the skewed MAF/MAP voltage.
