10k in interest is sick on a Dodge Ram. I mean that's 45% of the purchase price you're giving to the bank to own a shiny truck. By my calculations you have a 72 month loan at ~10% APR which is borderline loan sharking. Usual rule for responsible car buying is you should never buy a car that exceeds 8% of your monthly gross...including insurance. Either you make ~75k/year but still have bad management of credit therefore the high interest or you're in over your head should you have any shortfalls.
I'm not trying to be mean but some of the people on this board are easily going overboard on buying new cars. Looking on the Wall st forum and seeing all the people trying to get out of their credit problems and I can see why. Ideally exceeding 5 years on a car not is not a good idea and double digit interest is especially bad. If your credit sucks, buy cheaper.
