    my friend is going from a ford taurus and planning on buying a 240sx and joining some sort of drift team for girls in gwinnett...eh i don't have anything against a 240 but particularly that she only wants one without looking at more options.
    influence: the boyfriend
    can anyone post the pros and cons of getting one, especially for a girl who just wants "a fast car" that just so happens to be a 240sx? i'm thinking about talking her out of it. will rep i guess

    Hahahahahahahahahaha.... I know of who you speak. Pro's: 240's can be made into hella nice cars. Con's: Will take a bucket of money. Then she will slam it into wall "drifting". But seriously if you had a Taurus wouldn't you want something different. Since her boyfriend knows a bit about 240's he can work on it rather than a shop. Plus you look better when driving a 240, not that I need any help in that department.

    lol she wants a 240 because they don't cost a lot...she won't get much for that taurus. i don't think she understands that "fast" and "cheap" don't exactly go together. and yeah the boyfriend can do a lot. which i guess would look like this:

    AS long as she does her research, I wouldn't be against her getting a 240. I read her post on the other board and it looks like she isn't doing that. she just wants a 240 and wants it now. Which is bad. Suggest to her that she take her time and pick one that is mechanically sound and in her price range. There's nothing wrong with 240's as an overall car, as long as it's running right. I 'd hate for her to have a car she's making payments on that she might possibly wreck.


    As for DriftSX-Z. Tell her to stay away.
